- Pierre Radisson dog park
Who We Are:
People that enjoy making the world a better place, connecting with our neighbours, and having fun together.
We are parents of preschoolers, and parents of university students, and parents of cats and dogs.
We work in all kinds of jobs all over town. Some of us are retired.
We are people who give back a few hours and enjoy seeing the good that comes of it.
We are all volunteers. Many of us volunteer with several organizations in Saskatoon.
Why We Do It:
The Community Association is an oppurtunity to bring an idea to life.
It makes a big difference to the people that live here – an every day difference that makes living here better.
Volunteering is a great way to use your skills and gain new ones.
It makes you feel proud of where you live.
What We Need:
Okay, you may not want to start out at the top, but it’s not that hard. Put together the monthly meeting agenda, ask people if they’ve done what they said they would do, and help connect people to get things done.
Pay the bills, deposit the money that comes in, and record it all in the spreadsheet.
You need to like being organized, but you don’t need to be anything “official”. No accounting degree required.
Fill out forms to apply for money to keep the rink running, make sure the maintenance person gets paid, keep an eye on the facility and tell us what needs fixing.
All terms are one year, with the option to continue if you’re enjoying it and the option to stop or change positions if you’re not.
